Description

I’d like to teach you my method to remove clutter and excess from your clothes closet, dressers, shoes, accessories and clothes in storage. The benefits of having a clean closet are huge and you are going to feel so good when you’re done.

If you’re like me, you probably have a lot of clothes that you don’t wear. Either they don’t fit well or the color is wrong or they were a gift you didn’t like so much. Maybe you hang on to worn out things for sentimental reasons. Even if you clean your closet and dressers regularly, extra clothes accumulate as if by magic. In my small Tokyo apartment, this became a problem so I came up with a quick method for clearing things out that makes it easy to make decisions. I do this clearout at least twice a year on my own closets (and whenever I can sneak into my husband’s closet, too).

Let’s say goodbye to some of this closet clutter by sorting through everything and giving away, selling, or trashing what we no longer want or need. We’ll take it step-by step, doing one area of your clothes storage at a time.

This is a practical step-by-step book that you can complete in a week. Do you have to do it in a week? Of course not. Your busy life may not allow you to declutter every day, but if you keep at it you’ll have a clean closet before you know it. Take each action at your own pace, but once you start, try to finish each step within a day to keep from tripping over the piles of clothes or making your room look like a hurricane blew through.
