Christmas 2021

I feel like I planned poorly for this holiday, though I did my best. I made an artful painted tree a couple of weeks ago and hung solar lights on the “Christmas bush” at the edge of the driveway. I did, finally, host a cookie exchange – my first in Kamogawa.

I only just finished the holiday cards today – the day after Christmas, so they will go into the post on Monday.

We went for a walk on Christmas day, and I ended up the afternoon with a migraine. So our presents were opened slowly in the evening, and our dinner was only some cucumbers, cheese and crackers.

Why did I plan poorly? I was busy doing work at Hangar Eight, getting the place ready for Yae’s Christmas concert. It was a great feeling to see everyone gathered there and to hear the music in the building.

(My preparation was mainly tiling the toilets)
