Typh0on #19, Hagibis

Social media sources and the news are loudly warning about Super Typhoon 19, which looks like it might make landfall in Japan over the weekend. But where it will hit, and at what intensity, is a matter of speculation at this point.

Tod & I are scheduled to go to Mie-ken to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with a visit to Japan’s most sacred shrine and some relaxing onsen time, but Mie seems to be right in the path of the storm.

So now the question is “to cancel or not to cancel” our trip. And the next question is – if we cancel, what can we do to celebrate our anniversary?

Ah, first world problems in the age of climate crisis.
