Windows on my world

The past few days completed the installation of the window that arrived last week. OMG. What a house this is going to be.

They unlock yet another flurry of realisations as I walk through the house. I am starting to see the furniture placements and how we will circulate through the space. I decided on locations of light switches this week by walking through with the electrician and letting my hands reach for the switches as I went.

Standing in the kitchen, looking through to the living room.

As the windows have gone in, the house is getting its vapor wrap, so it feels more closed in and cosy now; the views are through the windows rather than the stud walls.

Not all of the views are gorgeous but they have potential. It is fun to think about how to landscape and garden to make these spaces interesting to look at and practical to live in.
