Project 2025 Bingo, day 50(ish)

We’ve reached the halfway point of this Bingo game. Time for an update.

  • One new stamp: End Department of Education

Not much has changed on the card in the past few weeks. There’s legal pushback with numerous lawsuits, so maybe we will unstamp some of the squares. The “big beautiful bill” budget (H.Con.Res.14) passed in the House and is currently under consideration in the Senate; if agreed, we can expect more stamps on the Bingo card. The Muskrat Invasion continues to spread.

Spaces on the Card

Below are the items on the bingo card. It is interesting to see which of these Project 2025 line items have been fast-tracked and which ones are waiting in the wings. The budget process is likely to see some sleepers awake

I am keep track as best I can; see sources listed after the notes. Italic items are “maybe/adjunct/in progress” and bold items have happened and are stamped on the card.

  1. Reduce corporate tax rate
  2. Abolish the FTC
    • Not the FTC but its cousin, the CPFB, is being abolished.
  3. Citizenship question on census
  4. End Department of Education
    • Over half of the staff have been fired or taken voluntary retirement and the director has called this the “final mission” for closing the Department, though it technically must be through an act of Congress.
  5. Allow drilling on public land
    • 1/20: Signed executive order opening Alaska to drilling
      1/20 Declared a “national energy emergency” to allow more production
    • 1/20 Signed EO on “Unleashing America’s Energy”
    • 1/20: Rescinded Biden’s Presidential Memorandum of January 6, 2025 (Withdrawal of Certain Areas of the United States Outer Continental Shelf from Oil or Natural Gas Leasing).
  6. Privatise weather service
    • With DOGE’s dive into NOAA, this is looking more likely.
  7. Appointees without Senate approval
    • DOGE, headed by Elon Musk, is a far-reaching, high level program impacting the Federal government across the board. It has no legislative approval, no oversight, and its work is no longer visible to the public.
  8. Defund NPR
    • 1/30 FCC investigates CPB, PBS, NPR
    • 2/11 & 2/12 Two separate bills proposed to cut funding
  9. New immigration agency
  10. Ban Tik Tok
    • 1/20 requested a 75 day pause (until 4/5) on the ban to reassess
  11. Fire bureaucrats
  12. Ban porn
  13. Remove LGBTQ+ protections
    • 1/20 “restoring biological truth” to the government
    • 1/20: signed executive order on ending government DEI programs
    • 1/20: Rescinded Biden’s Executive Order 13988 of January 20, 2021 (Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation).
    • 1/20: Rescinded Biden’s Executive Order 14021 of March 8, 2021 (Guaranteeing an Educational Environment Free From Discrimination on the Basis of Sex, Including Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity).
    • 1/20: Rescinded Biden’s Executive Order 14075 of June 15, 2022 (Advancing Equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Individuals).
    • 1/20: In the implementation section of the executive order “initial-rescissions-of-harmful-executive-orders-and-actions”: To effectuate the revocations described in section 2 of this order, the heads of each agency shall take immediate steps to end Federal implementation of unlawful and radical DEI ideology.”
    • It just keeps going….
  14. Nuclear Armament
    • 1/27 Iron Dome program promises “second strike” capability. That is military lingo for a retaliatory nuclear strike.
  15. Mass deportation
    • 1/20 Signed Executive order “Securing our Border” noting deportation
    • 1/20 Declared a national emergency at the southern border
    • 1/20 Executive order on “protecting the American People from invasion” includes deportation details
    • 1/20 Signed executive order ending Birthright Citizenship (Constitutional amendment 14)
    • 1/20: Rescinded Executive Order 14010 of February 2, 2021 (Creating a Comprehensive Regional Framework To Address the Causes of Migration, To Manage Migration Throughout North and Central America, and To Provide Safe and Orderly Processing of Asylum Seekers at the United States Border).
    • 1/20 Rescinded Executive Order 13993 of January 20, 2021 (Revision of Civil Immigration Enforcement Policies and Priorities).
  16. Restructure income tax

    • 2/4 Signed executive order to exit UNHCR and review UNESCO and UNRWA
  22. Don’t say Climate Change
    • 1/20 Signed executive order to exit the Paris Agreement
    • 2/1 USDA and EPA scrub “climate change” from websites
  23. Defund transit agencies
  24. Implement tariffs
    • 2/10 announced tariffs on steel
    • 2/12 announced tariffs announced on aluminum
    • 2/13 directs reciprocal trade & tariffs
    • 3/13 it’s a Trade War worldwide with daily tariffs and pauses.
