Project 2025 Bingo – pregame

We are just about two weeks from Day 1 of this bingo.

I’ve been trying to keep track of the topics on the card and to be honest, it’s already a challenge. It should get easier when the 100 days begin since there will be news about what’s happened, rather than speculation.

But using speculation and reliable sources I have been temporarily stamping some of the squares.

Looks like there are some certainties. We will see the military policing the mass deportations. Tariffs are on the hot list as is drilling. And it looks like recess appointments of at least some positions are likely. Government restructuring will send pink slips to bureaucrats. I am confident that those are going to be marked for real on Day 1 of this bingo game

Some squares on the card are less certain, but I marked half circles on topics intermittently reported in the media: slashes to healthcare for LGBTQ military families and closing the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in the State Department; defunding public broadcasting. The TikTok ban is up in the air at the moment with a ruling scheduled for Jan 19th, but Trump is requesting the date be changed. Looks like the Department of Education is going to be hollowed out and demoted from a department to an office.

There are a few things that are adjacent to the items listed on the card. Banning porn is an effective reality in Florida now that age verifications are required for accounts – will that roll out to a federal level? Looks like the US will not exit the United Nations, but they are likely to leave the World Health Organization. And there’s a new question planned on the census, but it’s about refugee status rather than citizenship.

As for the rest, we will wait and see. It does look like we are well on the way to Bingo. I’ll be updating again a couple of days after the inauguration.
