My word for 2023 is Compose.
Some years I struggle to find the right word. I spend time with the dictionary and thesaurus. I get close, but it takes some effort to narrow down to the right word. But this year, it just appeared in my head and here we are.
Compose will guide me in 2023. Following on from Observe and Wonder, Compose feels like a the third member in a creative trio. I will take my observations, marry them with my wonder and then compose my thoughts & emotions to create new works of music, art and writing.
Wonder was a good choice for 2022. I had many moments of wonder – both the marvellous kind and the head-scratching kind.
