Christmas 2022

Although I did a lot of baking with a new cookie press over the course of the month, the rest of Christmas season was pretty indifferent.

On the day itself, after opening gifts from family in the morning, we took Christmas lunch over to our friends’ minka and had a feast of steak with sauteed mushrooms, roasted vegetables, dauphinoise potatoes, cake, fruitcake, and plenty of cookies.

Our tree this year was made from offcuts from the house. I made several trees, in fact. Two for us, one for our friends and some for the builders at 555. I also made some 3D snowflakes from while paper bags and hung them from the living room ceiling. And that was Christmas, done and dusted.
