We had the kittens neutered this month. It is, from a human’s point of view, the wise choice for a number of reasons. But I can’t help feeling it’s not fair to the cats. They don’t get a say, the definitely don’t understand, and we are physically mutilating them – it’s a hysterectomy for the girl and orchiotomy for the boys.
Before we took the boys in to the vet yesterday, I snapped photos of their furry little man parts. Because they are really cute and appealing. That’s weird, I know, but…look:
And then when we got them home this morning, their back ends were covered in purple antiseptic liquid. Which is definitely not as cute.
I wonder how their personalities will change now that their testosterone is limited.
