Kamogawa library

I finally have a library card in Kamogawa. It’s taken four years but today we visited, partly to check on their WiFi and outlet situation, and we got our cards. I feel like a proper citizen of the city.

We spent 90 minutes exploring the space. Tod figured out the online catalog while I browsed the stacks and oriented myself.

It has everything you would expect, from kids’ books to dictionaries to novels. There’s a whole room of books and broadsides about the local area. The foreign language books section is half full of books about Kamogawa’s sister city, Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Looking forward to our next visit. The cards are valid for five years; I imagine we will be back before then.
