Half self

Decided to try a self-portrait in the mirror this morning. It’s been a while since I’ve really focussed on drawing myself with realism.

See that slightly startled expression? It’s me looking in the mirror carefully reproducing every bump, wrinkle and flap I see. I’m wondering wtf is up with the extra chins? They weren’t there the last time I drew myself. I could have taken some artistic license and minimised these signs of aging, but I left them in because this is my life now.

By the time I got my right half sketched, I’d had enough. I’ll try the left half another day. Maybe.
