Today, we escaped the power outage and drove an hour north to the nearest movie theater.
We saw our first 4DX movie with motion and atmospheric effects. The film was a cute anime called Weathering with You in English. 天気の子 in Japanese. It was beautifully animated and the extra effects were fun.
But best of all were our tickets. “Married couple over 50 discount” was the first time we’ve availed an age specific deal. I was slightly disappointed that nobody questioned us about being too young for the special price. But for a 1400 yen discount, I am willing to act my age.
