Here’s an old Scottish word (late 18th – early 19th century) from the OED that I think at least a few of my friends and colleagues had better add into their vocabularies this week.
tew
verb: 1. Work hard, exert oneself, bustle about; 2. fatigue or tire (oneself) with hard work
noun: 1. Constant work and bustling; a state of worry or excitement.
